Federal Representatives
Our Kansas Senators are Jerry Moran (R) and Roger Marshall (R). Moran was first elected to the Senate in 2006 and Marshall in 2020. Senate terms are six years. Marshall's term will end in 2026. Jerry Moran was re-elected in 2022, and his new term will end in 2028.
There are four congressional districts in Kansas. Three seats are currently held by Republicans. 1st District representative is Tracey Mann (R); 2nd District, Jacob LaTurner (R); 3rd District, Sharice Davids (D); and 4th District Ron Estes (R). Leavenworth County is in the 2nd District.

Kansas Legislature
Leavenworth County has four KS House Districts (38, 40, 41 and 42) and two Senate Districts (3 and 5). All of Leavenworth County's House Representatives are Republicans. In 2022, Timothy Johnson (R) was re-elected to the District 38 seat, David Buehler (R) was elected to the District 40 seat, Pat Proctor (R) was re-elected to District 41 seat, and Lance Neelly was re-elected to the District 42 seat. District 38 includes Basehor, Linwood and De Soto and Gardner Lake in Johnson County. District 42 includes Easton, Tonganoxie and Eudora in Douglas County. Kansas House terms are two years and the next election for each of these seats will be in 2022.
